Preparations for TAFF 2018
In order to grow, we teach. As we teach, we also learn in the process. Therefore, to showcase films inspired by African tales, TAFF continues to create the platform to further the arts and craft of films produced by African and African-American Filmmakers.
Regular submission is now open from November 1, 2017 - February 15, 2018. To submit your films for consideration, click on the link below for more details.

We hope to see you in Dallas, Texas for TAFF, come June 29th to July 3rd, 2018. This is one experience you don’t want to be told about in 2018.

TALES UNDER THE MOONLIGHT
Growing up in Africa, folktales under the moonlight were the highlights of our time in the village. We’d gather around, under the tree; just for those tales that fed our souls.
And now, TAFF is bringing folktales back; right in our backyard in Texas!!!
Got a folktale to tell in 7 minutes? TAFF is the place to be.
Tales Under The Moonlight will be told on TAFF opening night. Send your story or your demo link for consideration to: info@theafricanfilmfestival.org

Symposium on African Cinema
We had a great symposium on African Cinema during TAFF 2017, where filmmakers from various countries participated as panelists and discussed some of the challenges we face in film making and some tips on how we can keep improving.
TAFF 2018 Symposium will focus on African Films Distribution and the roles film can play in Medicine. We therefore encourage practitioners that also work in the medical field to not only be in attendace but also to participate as panelists.
You may please indicate your interest to be a panelist by sending an email to: info@theafricanfilmfestival.org,
